Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has had his prison sentence reduced by four years, with a new expected release date of December 14, 2044. The reduction comes as a result of good behavior credits, participation in prison programs, and time served during pre-sentencing detention. Bankman-Fried was originally sentenced to 25 years in March 2024 after being convicted on seven counts of fraud and conspiracy tied to the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
